Jen + Pete
I was so excited to get the chance to skip off to Italy to document Jen & Pete’s Tuscany wedding! They had a pre-wedding day pizza party the night before with handmade pizza being prepared right on site. They had the most beautiful hill-side ceremony and intimate dinner reception!
Their wedding weekend took place on a beautiful & secluded 13th century Tuscan estate overlooking the Garfagnana Valley. They had all of their friends and family stay on the the estate all weekend long drinking wine and eating all the pizza possible. Some of my favorite details were Jen’s stationary, bridal details, and guest gifts that told a story about them + their relationship. Jen’s details included a plate with a bee imprint that reminded her of her mother and a candle that was custom made as a gift for their guests and named after the waterfall they got engaged at in Iceland + all styled to perfection on a pizza stone.
One of my favorite moment’s from their day was after the ceremony. A light rain had started but skies were still bright and we knew it would pass quickly. As soon as it did, many of the guests started pointing to the sky saying there was a rainbow! Jen ran over to it with the biggest smile on her face. She was so happy that she broke down in tears. Pete said, “Jen’s mom passed away 20 years ago. There was a rainbow the day she passed away, and a double rainbow at her funeral. After I proposed in Iceland, there was a rainbow. After our ceremony, we were blessed with this rainbow. We felt her presence throughout this journey.” This moment was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve witnessed at a wedding to date. I was low key sobbing behind my camera as I turned and noticed the rest of the guests crowded around and wiping their eyes too.
Moments like this are the reason I do what I do and I loved witnessing all the love unfold as they celebrated their day in Italy!
